Roanoke-Benson High School : Roanoke, Illinois
2,600 square feet | $204,630
THE CHALLENGE
Roanoke Benson High School needed to update its existing ag lab, including the welding shop and neighboring industrial arts spaces. The welding shop’s current capacity was not supporting the school’s student demand, resulting in a need for additional booths. However, to fit additional booths, the entire welding shop layout needed to be re-arranged. With the re-arrangement, all systems needed to be re-designed, including the space’s power distribution.
KED SOLUTION : Designing Systems for a New Ag Lab Layout
We re-designed the welding shops’ systems to accommodate the new layout and additional welding booths, including the re-distribution of power for the equipment. We were able to greatly improve the space’s lighting and ventilation, creating a healthier and more functional space. As a result, Roanoke Benson High School now has a modernized ag lab, including additional welding booths to accommodate a larger student capacity, improving the school’s offerings for students.
