Upgrading to Meet Corporate Standards

Lighthouse Buick GMC : Morton, IL

PROJECT SIZE & COST

11,000 square feet | $2 million

THE CHALLENGE

To meet GM franchise requirements, this local automotive dealership embarked on extensive building expansion and remodel—adding service bays and revamping its sales office. Completing the improvements without inconveniencing customers or jeopardizing service revenues required a phased approach.

KED SOLUTION

In phase one, we installed several sophisticated, fully automated solutions—including an oil delivery system and a vehicle exhaust system with overhead duct work and flexible hosing suspended from the ceiling. As a primary heat source for the new building, we also installed clean burn technology that uses oil captured from oil changes to power the facility’s furnaces—providing both environmental and financial benefits. In phase two, we helped Lighthouse convert its existing service bay into a facility for customer drop-offs and vehicle washing. Finally, phase three involved a complete renovation of the dealership sales office, including a new HVAC system, lighting, fire protection and more.
