Finding a Boiler Solution That Meets Cost & Efficiency Goals

Seneca High School : Seneca, Illinois

THE CHALLENGE
With its two boilers at the end of their useful life, Seneca High School wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to improve energy efficiency by installing a new system—but at the same time, keeping upfront costs low was also a priority.

KED SOLUTION : Energy-Efficient Hybrid Boiler Plant
To help the high school meet both its cost and efficiency objectives, we replaced the existing boilers with a hybrid boiler plant, using one non-condensing boiler and one condensing boiler. This approach kept initial costs lower without sacrificing energy efficiency, providing the best return on investment for the school. We teamed up with local mechanical contractors to install the new system as part of an Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) project.
